We had the incredible opportunity to sit down at a conference with Jon Batiste, where we talked the surprising and rewarding journey he has had in his pursuit of music. He gives us an inside look into his work on The Late Show, Pixar's Soul, and his debut album, We Are.
In Issue 07, we talk to English musician and songwriter Yungblud, whose second album, Weird! was released in late 2020 and peaked at the top of the UK Albums Chart and reached number 75 on the US Billboard 200. He talks about culture, influence, and living outside the status quo in our exclusive look.
The Academic is an Irish indie band that has only grown in popularity since their 2017 hit “Bear Claws." The Academic has opened for bands like The Strokes, The Rolling Stones, and Twenty One Pilots, and is now embarking on their own tour. We had the chance to sit down with them and discuss their most recent EP, Community Spirit and its origins.
In Issue 08, we talk with up-and-coming band Woah, whose sound can be described as indie pop with grit and heart. Read about how suburbia has influenced the band and their sound, as they move towns and begin working on their upcoming LP.
We talk with Duncan Laurence, a Dutch singer-songwriter who has performed on Eurovision and The Voice of Holland about his experience on Eurovision and the subsequent tour of Europe in our seventh issue.
Meet the band: Acres Even - a Los Angeles-based indie rock band bent on communicating “powerfully honest emotion” and expressing raw energy, which comes through in their feel-good choruses, The Strokes-esque guitar, and undeniable group chemistry.
Aden Bertisch, at only seventeen years old, is an experienced singer, songwriter, producer and actor, taking the creative world by storm. He attends the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA), and has performed live several times, including at the 2020 Grammy Awards in a finale number. Read about him in Issue 06.
